Additional Midnights with the Mystic: A Little Guide to Freedom and Bliss Information

Constructed around a series of late night conversations around a camp fire between Cheryl Simone and Sadhguru Vasudev on an Island in the middle of a Western North Carolina lake near her mountain home, Midnights with the Mystic is the most thorough exposition of the teachings of India's most sought after mystic. Sadhguru challenges us to embrace the possibility that to each of us is available a higher realm of reality, a peak of consciousness; an entrée into the realm of freedom and bliss. Concrete and down-to-earth, Midnights with the Mystic both provides readers with an introduction to profound spiritual teaching and a personal glimpse of a charismatic guru.

What Customers Say About Midnights with the Mystic: A Little Guide to Freedom and Bliss:

Obviously others enjoyed it so as always, use your own intuition. When a book does click be sure to put what you've learned into action. There was so much "I" in the Forwards and in the first 3 pages that there was no need to continue further. For a higher bump try reading books by Paramahansa Yogananda or Barbara Martin. Otherwise you're just watching a good movie. This book seems to be written on an emotional level. It's just not for me.

I am going on my first retreat in a month, I hope to add to this with the newfound experience. This book breathes new life into that perennial classic. Sadhguru feels like an old friend, and while his life may seem beyond the laws of reality as we know it, I say to open your mind as far as it will go, give him a chance, and if you're ready, BE ready to receive a blessing. I have delved into everything esoteric imaginable (self-help, psychology, religion, hypnotism, astrology, tarot, shamanism, psychics, etc)., and still feeling somewhat lost, like I was given bread crumbs every now and then, but I still haven't found my way.

I resound with Cheryl, as if she were an alternate parallel spirit to mine. Sadhguru isn't looking for followers, to be revered, to be famous, he is simply the soft glow that will help you find your way in the darkness. Be ready to take a journey - that if you're willing from the depth of your soul - to achieve all your answers, so it will be done. It feels like I have been searching my entire life to the answers that seem just out of reach.

I feel now like there is hope, since reading this. Stay tuned. This reminds me of 'Autobiography of a Yogi'. An analogy is 'Autobiography' was like a mouth-watering fancy cupcake that was sitting on a table out of my reach, 'Mystics' has put the cupcake in my hand and I have taken a bite, and I am filled with ecstasy.

It's hard to believe that something as common place as a book could really change one's life. Questions that have lingered in the back of my mind since I was a child were addressed with a such clarity that complex and overwhelming subjects like grief, death, my own divinity became profoundly simple and understandable. All of them are undeniably interesting, meaningful and insightful, but I must say they never really stick with me. Midnights with the Mystic was totally different for me.

Could it be that its not so far out that its beyond me and my comprehension. It was as if for the first time I had encountered a sense of pure, unfiltered, and untainted truth that had always been there but I just wasn't aware of it. Maybe this really is the Truth, I thought. Can I "get" the Truth. Could it be that after all these years of education and personal seeking and growth that I've now stumbled upon the real thing - truth with a capital "T", and it doesn't elude me. Sure I've read many great books in my life from philosophy to art, from self-help to countless biographies.

Being a die hard skeptic I looked at the ideas presented from every differing angle I could imagine and everything kept coming back affirmative. I can joyfully answer "YES." and the heaviness and scariness of uncertainty has been lifted and my life is profoundly illuminated and forever changed. Of course the reading is always enjoyable sometimes even stimulating but once it finished it's on to the next and two weeks later I could barely remember the title. There was an unusual sense of calm clarity that was speaking directly to me.

I highly recommend the book and it's teachings. The insights in the book are profound and if you're receptive to the discussions can change or enhance your belief system based on where you are in your life journey. I bumped into the book by accident, ordered it and couldn't put it down. A good portion of the book is question-answer with a highly spritual being.

I highly recommend it for those who have searched high and low for efficient real tools of self-transformation; your search might be over, now the work begins. Easy to read, it grabs you like a magnet. The science of yoga coming from a true master, someone with the experience, not just the knowledge.
